Christlikeness

Philippians 1:3-5 (ESV)I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

How would you describe that “good work” being produced you? Would you say it’s complete or that you’re still a work in progress? Do you consider yourself a completely finished product or do you still have some rough edges needing to be sanded? However you may see yourself, the beauty is God is never done with you. He is constantly and continually working in your life producing Christlikeness. If you’re a coffee connoisseur, you’re continually searching for that perfect blend – attempting to better the brew. In Christ, it’s no different. Daily you and I are becoming more and more like Him as we strive to live our lives in a way that brings Him glory. We do our part and He does His. Our aim then is doing all we can to honor His Word and to allow God to do whatever He needs to do in us.
