Mat 26:1-4 (NKJV)
Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples, 2 ” You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.” 3 Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, 4 and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him.
Man may plot to kill, but it is God who gives the Victory. Make no mistake about it, Jesus was fully aware of their scheming. He knew His preaching and teaching caused quite a stir amongst both the religious and non-religious, yet He never shied away from His purpose. Come what may Jesus was not to be detracted from His mission. Friends, this is what Living in Victory is all about. Refusing to allow the distractions of man…no matter how brutal to dissuade you from your ultimate purpose. During Christ’s journey to the cross he refused to alter His purpose and as Christians its wise for us to do the same.
