Mat 27:11-14 (NKJV)
Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him, ” It is as you say.” 12 And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing. 13 Then Pilate said to Him, “Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?” 14 But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.
Jesus knew His words mattered nothing in this court of law. What mattered most to Him was carrying through with all His Father asked of Him – to save man from sin. Man will fulfill his purpose, but He would fulfill God’s. Victory in Life looks not to what man says or does, but to what God said (in His Word), and what God did (in sending His only begotten Son). Desire what God wants, set your heart and attention there and all else will just take care of itself (in actuality, God will take care of you). On our Saviors Journey to the Cross, He refused to answer to man court, for it was God He choose to please, not man and we would do well to do the same. Be more concerned about God’s righteous court, then man’s corrupt system.
