Mat 26:14-16 (NKJV)
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. 16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.
Christ’s ‘Journey to the Cross’ was loaded with opportunities to abandon His purpose, yet He never lost sight of the goal. A friend – someone in His inner circle, set in motion an elaborate scheme to betray Him, but Jesus never stopped inching forward. ‘Living in Victory’ demands of us to do the same. Not everyone will agree with you and some may even betray you, but somehow, someway, you must be determined to not stop your forward progress. Betrayal at an intimate level stings deeply and requires a deep commitment to walk in forgiveness, least we alter our journey toward victory.
