Acts 19:11-12 (ESV) And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.
Did you catch that? “WHO” was doing extraordinary miracles? Hint: it wasn’t Paul. He was the vessel God choose to flow through to show folk, “There is No god, Like Our God”. These verses are great reminders of who’s in charge and who’s we are, least our head gets so big no hat fits. I’ve seen it happen far too often – God begins to do awesome things through “the hands of” a submitted vessel and next thing you know, they begin to take credit and ‘poof’ there goes their ministry. Let’s then strive to be people who never, ever, ever takes the credit away from God. It’s easy to do least you think your infallible. Let’s say you excel at work, in your business or within a ministry. You’re showered with kind and congratulatory remarks; your schooling is credited; your hard work is commended; your commitment to excellence is extolled…a whole lot of ‘Your’ is being thrown around and next thing you know – YOU’RE to be praised more than God. Yup, slowly and steadily, you’re taking the credit based on all your human effort, when in fact, it’s God who should be praised.
