If the Word of God states, in black and white that by the stripes or wounds of Jesus I was healed, then I believe it to be so. Why should I doubt the finished work of the cross? In fact, I’m choosing to believe what I read in the Word and take it as my own. My cry is the same as Jeremiah’s, “heal me O Lord, and I shall be healed”. I am going to allow the brevity of those sacred Words to sink in and I’m taking them as my own. When trouble comes or sickness knocks at the door, I will first run to God’s medicine cabinet and take a heavy dose of His healing Word. I am healed, not may be healed or possibly healed…I am healed and I thank my God for it.
This is what I believe and confidently declare! (Note: these “I Declare” devotions are meant to be proclaimed out loud, as part of your personal daily devotions)
1 Peter 2:24 (ESV) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Jeremiah 17:14 (ESV) Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.
Psalms 34:4 (ESV) I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
Psalms 9:9-10 (ESV) The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. 10 And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Psalms 37:39-40 (ESV) The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. 40 The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
