Acts 9:22 (NKJV) But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.
Just shortly after this dude was born again…and I mean miraculously saved…thrown off his high horse saved (rather donkey)…he’s out there preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. One minute he’s cruising to town doing 4, the next he’s flat on his back blind as a bat having an encounter with Jesus. And this isn’t a happy face, smiling Jesus, it’s Christ in His majesty, as He sticks up for those Saul has killed. Here’s the thing about judgement; it comes. Whether in this life or the next, judgement comes. Scripture makes this very plain and we would be wise in telling others to take note. Don’t wait until you feel you’re spiritually ready to tell others about Jesus, just do it. Put on your Nike’s and just do it. The Holy Spirit will empower and enable you as you go. Like Saul, you will “increase all the more in strength”. This was written not only to tell you Saul’s story but to encourage you that what God did for Saul, he’ll do for you. How God strengthened Saul, He’ll strengthen you. As with Saul, the moment you encountered Christ you were Unleashed from your past life. New coordinance were typed in and you were given a new mandate. Let’s then get out there and confound some folk, as we tell them about Jesus Christ.
