Day 57 – Ever Learning, Ever Growing

Galatians 6:7-9 (ESV)
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Personally, I would like to reap from the good seeds I sow and to help me do that, to help me stay on course, God has given us the Holy Spirit. Everything we have been learning about Him, through this devotional helps us to stick that much closer to walking through life with Him as our guide. Humility then is needed, to forsake our way and walk according to His. The beauty in learning about the Holy Spirit is the more you learn, the more you desire to stick close. Like you, I want to sow toward the things of Spirit, but in order to do so, I need to know what the “Things of the Spirit” are. So study my friends. Read some good books on the Holy Spirit (connect with me if you need help discovering some), but most importantly, head to the Bible and read every passage and those surrounding them that references the Holy Spirit and then pray for the Spirit of God to reveal Himself to you afresh. This is the Joy of the Spirit-Filled Life – ever learning, ever growing, ever developing faith.
