Ephesians 2:18 (NLT)
Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.
I love it when the Triune nature of God is mentioned in a verse because it outlines to me how the Father, Son and Holy Spirit work in perfect harmony with one another. This is what our marriage should look like – in sync with one another and also what our relationship with other Christians should be. In fact, when God is referenced as ONE and in marriage the two become ONE and regarding our church relationships, we should be in ONE accord, it is talking about perfect unity. God is in perfect unity with the Son and the Spirit. Husbands and wives in perfect unity with each other and the church in perfect unity with one another. I know what you’re thinking – “thankfully God got it right”. Yes, marriages don’t always get in right, nor do church relationships, but we do have the anchor of our Triune God to keep us steady through the storms. If you’re struggling in your marriage or in church relationships, call upon the full Triune nature of God to pull you through. Ask the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to make themselves real to, while you do your part in taking the time to discover the wonder of what they’re all about. This is the Joy of the Spirit-Filled Life and you’ll be glad you’ve taken the plunge.
