Day 11 – The Thrill of Knowing Jesus

John 20:30-31 (ESV)

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

And what a life it is! It is a gloriously free life! Through our Saviour, we live free from fear (at least we should), free from isolation (He’s always there), free from worry and stress (if we learn to lean upon Him). Prior to understanding The Resurrected Life, I was burdened with all kinds of…crap (hey, that is exactly what it was – Paul himself said, His past life was like dung). I continually felt alone, without hope and full of fear, but Jesus taught me how to rest. To trust in Him, to believe in Him and to reject worry, intimidation & fear. When you are on the side of those who just believe…believe that Christ is who the Word says He is and have the joy that goes with it…there’s no turning back. And why would we, for nothing compares to the thrill of knowing Jesus, of being connected to Him and a part of His family.
