I Declare – I will never forget the great commission God gave unto me. Help me Lord to make it personal, as if you spoke this commission directly to me. Thank you for your anointing and divine strength to carry out this task.
This is what I believe and boldly declare!
Mat 28:16-20 (ESV)
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
What a commission. My prayer is that it never becomes the great omission. The beauty of this charge is that we are not left to our own devices to accomplish it. Our own strength, wisdom and ingenuity have nothing to do with this instruction from our Lord. Rather, we are to remember that our Lord and Savior, our matchless King, our great Redeemer is with us always. He gives us the ability to become effective witnesses. He strengthens us when we feel weak and it is He who divinely enables us. The resurrected life never forgets from whom comes the power and from whom comes the anointing. As we learn to rest in the strength of this revelation, greater things than we could ever imagine will begin to saturate our lives.
