I Declare – My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, therefore, I will endeavor to the very best of my ability to properly care for it. I will learn to live right and to eat right. What I put into my body determines how my body functions, therefore, I will govern my appetites and not be overrun by them. Jesus paid the ultimate price for me; He redeemed me, His body was broken so mine doesn’t have to and by His stripes I was healed. I will then learn to rest in the finish work of the cross and receive from its victory and I ask God to forgive me for not properly caring for my body and for taking for granted the price Jesus paid for me.

This is what I believe and confidently declare! (These “I Declare” devotions are meant to be proclaimed out loud, as part of your personal daily devotions)

1 Corinthians 6:19 (NKJV) Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Proverbs 9:9 (ESV) Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

Proverbs 25:16 (ESV) If you have found honey, eat only enough for you, lest you have your fill of it and vomit it.

Proverbs 25:27-28 (ESV) It is not good to eat much honey, nor is it glorious to seek one’s own glory. 28 A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV) Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
