I Declare – as I succeed in life, I will never forget the poor. Those who have little, no matter the reason, deserve to be treated with the same respect and dignity as those who have much. In fact, the Lord God Himself will take up the poor man’s case and will plunder those who plunder them. The last thing I want is to fight against the Lord. I need God on my side and in my corner, so I will do my best to be a generous person. For a poor man who lives with integrity is better than a rich man who distorts right from wrong.
Lord, thank you for the Victory provided for me at the cross, I gratefully receive it by faith. (Note: these “I Declare” devotions are meant to be proclaimed out loud, as a prayer – a part of your personal daily devotions.)
Proverbs 22:22-23 (HCSB) Don’t rob a poor man because he is poor, and don’t crush the oppressed at the gate, 23 for the Lord will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them.
Proverbs 28:3 (HCSB) A destitute leader who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no food.
Proverbs 28:6 (HCSB) Better a poor man who lives with integrity than a rich man who distorts right and wrong.
This is my declaration. This is what I declare!
