I Declare – the secret to my success is not in my accumulation of things or in climbing my way to the top wrung. The secret is in my giving. Giving opens the doorway to true success, for when I’m willing to give, God Himself will pay me back. Yes, I’ll give to the poor. I’ll give to the needy. I’ll not despise, oppress or mock the poor…I’ll give. Whether out of my little or my much, I’ll give. Lord, help me to be kind and generous to those around me who need not just a handout but a hand up.
Lord, thank you for the Victory provided for me at the cross, I gratefully receive it by faith. (Note: these “I Declare” devotions are meant to be proclaimed out loud, as a prayer – a part of your personal daily devotions.)
Proverbs 14:31 (ESV) Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.
Proverbs 17:5 (ESV) Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker; he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.
Proverbs 19:17 (ESV) Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.
This is my declaration. This is what I declare!
